The Cars went on to sell more than 23 million albums in America, with four in the Top 10. The band made 14 top 40 singles from their seven albums with hits like “Just What I Needed” “Best Friends Girl” “Drive,” “Lets Go.” The Cars won "Video of the Year" for "You Might Think" at the first MTV Video Music Awards in 1984 and were inducted into the Rock & Roll hall of Fame in 2018, solidifying their place in Rock & Roll history.
